What is in it
124 rows, one per provider, with 2.19 columns: name, product name, type, region, head office, markets served, transaction fee as text and as a number, monthly fee, setup cost, transaction limit, supported platforms and cards, girocard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PIN handling, certification, contract term, target segment, notable features, year founded, currency, data quality, source URL, score, rank and the profile URL.
Licence
Free to use — commercially or privately, modified and redistributed — on one condition: attribution with a link. Concretely: Source: SoftPOS24, softpos24.com, linked to this page or to the relevant provider profile. No request needed, no sign-up, no form.
What the dataset is not
- Not a price guarantee. Terms change; every row carries a source URL and a check date so you can look for yourself.
- Not a complete census of the world market. What is documented is what could be publicly evidenced.
- Not a single market rate. The
gebuehr_numcolumn is a comparison value per provider, not a rate for your market — market-accurate rates live in the fee calculators. - Not a third-party rating. The score follows the formula published openly on the methodology page.
Format
UTF-8 with BOM, comma separated, all fields quoted, CRLF line endings — opens in Excel, Numbers, LibreOffice and pandas without fixing anything first. Multiple values such as markets or platforms are semicolon separated inside a cell.
